Inovo Core Values

Project Overview:
Inovo, a leading New Zealand project management and advisory business, commissioned a bespoke signage series to bring their core values to life within their Auckland and Christchurch offices. The creative brief challenged us to physically interpret a series of complex, often impossible, 3D geometric illusion designs into real-world dimensional installations — while ensuring a premium, corporate finish fitting of their brand.

Manufacturing Methodology, Innovation of Materials & Techniques:
To achieve the illusionary and dimensional effect, we developed a multilayered construction technique using a carefully selected palette of materials, each chosen for their aesthetic and technical properties. Each layer was meticulously aligned using oversized sheets and router-cut locating holes, ensuring perfect registration through all assembly stages.

Original Concept & Overall Visual Impact:
The concept took inspiration from impossible geometry and perceptual illusion art, translating flat design into a multi-dimensional experience that literally shifts as viewers move through the space. The layering of semi-transparent inks, gloss acrylic and physical depth created a dynamic installation with multiple visual states depending on the observer’s position.

It demanded viewers physically engage with the signage to fully grasp the intended design — a fitting metaphor for Inovo’s values of vision, innovation, and leadership in complex projects.

Summary:
This project challenged us to translate the intangible into tangible, requiring innovation in both design thinking and manufacturing technique. By combining ACM, layered acrylic, reverse printing, and laser-cut detailing, and incorporating precise engineering for alignment and depth, we delivered a truly dimensional signage solution that embodies Inovo’s progressive identity and values.
